COMING SOON! Workshops on Fundraising!

For many -and you know who you are- the very idea of asking for donations for a cause, a project or an organization is enough to intimidate the hardiest of souls.

It does not have to be this way.

By request, The Pacific Learning Consortium will be holding a series of workshops on fundraising. Together, we will turn your fears into confidence, learn about designing persuasive appeals that inspire donors to contribute. The stuff of successful fundraising includes understanding the wide range of motivations you can tap into, understanding the dynamics of fundraisers and donors, and understanding the practical characteristics of effective fundraising appeals.

Stay tuned! This series will be available both online and in face-to-face settings. smile emoticon

Starting Tuesday, April 28. The Writer’s Life: Cultivating Inspiration Through the Written Word. April 28-May 26 (Four Weeks)

Starts Tuesday, April 28, 2015.

NOTE: How about doing this course of study on your schedule? Does that sound appealing to you? Contact us at PacificLearningConsortium@gmail.com to plan with us a customized schedule with you in mind. It's no bother! Seriously!

Description
The arts of writing and composing feature many thoroughfares of discovery and direction. This course will help you develop your passions so that you may further express yourself as a writer. We will explore together the process of writing, of discovering more about yourself while reaping inspiration from the worlds within and around you.

As with any sacred quest, the doors to new dimensions of emotion, imagination, understanding and spirit will unfold. You will learn that it is your fears and self-judgment that are your greatest stumbling blocks to creative expression, that courage is one of the keys to genuine authenticity, and that showing up on the page is liberating.

Each learning experience covers new and stimulating topics. Never been published before? Unsure of what area of writing interests you? This creative writing program might be your best choice.

Who knows what it may lead you to? Each door you open through this course is a voyage of discovery.

Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion after the conclusion of the program.

You will be notified by email and/or USPS mail if there are any changes to the program including change in venue, date, or cancellation.

Hemingway Nails It

This quote comes from author Ernest Hemingway. I post this in tribute and some empathy for those of you taking Basic Blogging for Beginners.

Remember:

Do not quit.

Persevere.

Words sometimes flow like water over a waterfall.

And then there are those other times...
