ANNOUNCEMENT: Pacific Learning Consortium Establishes East Coast USA Office in Greenwich, Connecticut

The Pacific Learning Consortium, Inc., an American-based international educational services provider headquartered in Honolulu, Hawaii, announced today the official opening of its first mainland North America office in Greenwich, Connecticut USA.

Jeffrey Bingham Mead, founder and president of the Pacific Learning Consortium, is leading the company's efforts to establish a presence in the New York City metropolitan area.

"We were invited to expand our presence here in response to proven demand by local American and international contacts as far away as the People's Republic of China. This area represents a significant concentration of financial service firms, the largest number of Fortune 500 companies in the world, as well as many of America's finest secondary and university-level educational institutions," said Mr. Mead.

In September 2015, U.S. President Barack Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping announced that 2016 would be set to be U.S.-China Tourism Year, celebrating the recent reciprocal extension of visa validity and support increased travel and tourism exports. Both the USA and China will work toward expanding and shaping U.S.-China travel and tourism, and strengthening bonds between the two peoples, including businesses and educational institutions. The announcement came on the heels of the 2015 U.S.-China Tourism Leadership Summit held in Los Angeles, California with nearly 200 U.S. and Chinese tourism leaders from government and industry present.

"We look forward to using our new presence on the East Coast of the USA to facilitate the expansion of strategic relationships through intercultural educational exchanges, inter-organizational engagement and travel initiatives," said Mead.

"This is a natural outgrowth of the friendships and alliances we have been nurturing in the United States and various nations in eastern Asia. The Pacific Learning Consortium is committed to facilitating the building of enduring partnerships that will yield prosperous relationships. I see the Consortium playing a positive role by using education as a tool to respond to the complexities of global challenges facing both the USA and Pacific Rim nations with our primary focus on the People's Republic of China."

The Pacific Learning Consortium's new Greenwich, Connecticut office is located at 75 Holly Hill Lane, Suite 100, Greenwich, Connecticut 06830 USA. Contact the office at 1.203.622.1300 or PacificLearningConsortium@gmail.com.
